Import a supplier catalog with a CSV file
Typing a catalog in by hand is the slowest way to launch. A spreadsheet import loads the whole range at once, including pricing, specifications and media.
What to include in the file
- Product name and product code
- Minimum advertised price and dealer price
- Specifications and description
- Delivery timeframe
- Media links, separated so several images can be attached to one product
- Barcodes and product identifiers where the brand supplies them
Pricing and margin
Dealer price and dealer margin are linked to the advertised price, so setting one calculates the other. That keeps every product consistent with the brand's price floor instead of relying on manual arithmetic.
Keeping it current
Re importing an updated file refreshes pricing and details while keeping what you edited by hand. Individual products can also be corrected directly, and changes save as you type.
Stock
For brands that support it, stock levels can sync automatically so listings come down when the manufacturer runs out and return when it restocks.
