Wholesale stock or dropship fulfillment
Most dealer programs let you choose: buy stock at wholesale, or have the manufacturer ship each order direct to your customer. The right choice depends on cash and category.
Buying stock
You pay upfront, usually at a better cost, and you control delivery speed. You also carry the risk: capital tied up, storage, damage and unsold units. It suits fast moving products you already sell in volume.
Manufacturer shipped orders
You place the order after your customer pays, and the manufacturer ships direct. No stock, no warehouse, no capital tied up. Cost per unit is usually a little higher and delivery timeframes are set by the brand, which is why the timeframe is published on every product.
Which to pick
Start with manufacturer shipped orders while you learn what sells. Move to stock only on the products where volume justifies the cash and the storage.
